For Wilderness Treks in the Boundary Waters
Below are two lists, one is what we provide and the other is a long list of suggestions. Of course we are all unique and have our own list, just remember you will be carrying whatever you bring! Feel free to send us a message with any questions.
NOTE: Cell phones will be left behind once we enter the wilderness.
Items for you to bring:
- Waterproof boots
- Water shoes (quick draining sneaker or sandal such as those made by Keen or Salomon)
- Socks (wool for all seasons)
- Pants (light weight easy dry)
- Shorts
- Swimsuit
- 2 T-shirts
- 2 Long sleeve shirts
- Fleece Jacket or pull-over
- Underwear/ sports bra
- Bandana
- Rain Jacket/windbreaker (something for warmth and rainproof)
- Rain Pants
- Waterproof cap
- Cap with Visor
- Light stocking cap
- Sunglasses
- Gloves
- Towel
- Personal Grooming items (minimal need)
- Biodegradable soap
- Insect repellent
- Pocket Knife
- Camera
We provide:
- Sleeping bags
- Sleeping pad
- Packs
- Tent
- Canoe/paddles
- Life vests
- Stoves/cooking utensils
- Water bottles
- Food
Cancellation policy: Should a trek need to be canceled in its entirety due to Acts of God or Government closures all registration fees will be refunded in full. Should the participant cancel up to 30 days prior to the trek the registration fee will be refunded less a $250 cancellation fee. If the participant’s cancellation is received within 30 days of the scheduled trek there are no refunds.
